As we expand past our main core, we will add communities to our construction schedule based on an activation requirement.
Below are the steps involved once a zone activates.
Step 1
Zone Activation – Accomplished!
Once your zone reaches the required % of registrations, it will activate. You can see your activation status on the Central Access website.
Step 2
Engineering, Design, & Permitting
The zone is mapped and designed for construction. Additionally, any state permits that are required, such as those for fiber crossing roadways will be fulfilled.
Step 3
Make-ready Inspections & Replacements
We will inspect the zone to ensure it is ready for construction. This includes identifying and replacing utility poles, typically those requiring additional space for the hanging of the fiber.
Step 4
Mainline Construction
Once construction is scheduled and begins, crews start with mainline construction in the zone. As this is spliced, distribution fiber lines are extended down individual streets and roads.
Step 5
Fiber Drop Lines Installed
As mainline construction is completed, fiber drop lines from poles to homes will be hung (or buried), and as light (Internet) is verified, home installations are ready to be scheduled.
Step 6
Installation & Enjoy!
We’ll schedule your in-home installation, and you’ll begin enjoying your new lighting-fast Internet!
