Central Access, Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (CAEC), and its governance reflects that close relationship. The Central Access Board of Directors is composed of 5 members: 3 trustees from the CAEC Board, along with CAEC’s President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Each CAEC board trustee serves a three-year term on the Central Access board.
Staggered terms ensure that one trustee rotates off and is replaced by another each August. The CAEC President/CEO serves as the President of the Central Access Board and presides over all meetings, while the CAEC CFO serves as the Board Secretary and Treasurer.
